The Dock is definitely one of the things to look forward to. This FANASTIC little gem of a restaurant hidden in Lake Providence, LA is definitely worth my 50 minute drive across the River. Boudain balls, Fried Crawfish tails, alligator bites,… this Louisiana Delta hotspot serves up some fare that Mississippi Deltans just don’t get very often but wouldn’t mind having just a little more of.
It turns out that the view from the dock (clever) isn’t so shabby either.
Here are two of my gal pals enjoying said food and view on a jaunt we took last spring.
Of COURSE I forgot to take any photos of the food this day, but if you can imagine something that lives in the freshwater of the MS/LA/AR Delta and then imagine it deep-fried, you’ve got the idea. Add a beer, a paper napkin, and a FANTASTIC view and you’ve pictured the Dock. But why just picture it? Why not plan your trip when the weather gets warmer?
